Civic Space

This urban art installation responds to the ongoing development of our cities, commenting on the civic spaces shaped by signage that encroaches on our urban experience. It features two hand-built clay columns, each uniquely formed into dynamic shapes with varied textures. These columns, reminiscent of those in modern architecture, are modular and temporary. Surrounding the sculptures are metal structures and a "Pay Here" sign that alter how viewers interact with and perceive the work. This installation critiques urban development and its direct impact on our use of public spaces.
